Two months ago my bag was stolen & the people went on a huge shopping spree with my money before I noticed & blocked all my cards. I reported it to police & diligently went into the station at least 1–2 times a week, every week for a month to check on the case. For almost an entire month I was met with the same response “Nobody has been assigned your case”.
I quickly came to the realisation that the system wasn’t going to be able to help me & it got to the point where I could almost see…
in the past week. i’ve had my car broken into. in hospital everyday for mum (not COVID-19 related ). our christchurch sales (tourist city) drop by 67% literally overnight (definitely COVID-19 related). building manukau pop up shop to launch tomorrow. barely slept in 3 days.
I do feel surprisingly calm through it all. tired but calm. honestly, i’m not toooo sure what to expect for the pop up shop. But I know it’ll be okay no matter what. it’s a tough time for everybody.
so even as much as I’d like for people to support us & even as much…
Friday February 29th. This will be the final day at Moustache K Road. Holy moly, what how why?!
Our original store was on Wellesley Street West. Which was eventually moved to K Road. And now in 9 days, it is time for K Road to move into our new bigger kitchen in Manukau.
I made the decision to move our O.G store into K Road over 5 years ago in 2015 (!!!). Back then, Wellesley Street was about to close; all my love & my life savings with it. …
It was Moustache’s 6th birthday yesterday. It’s the first year where I have not celebrated it or told anyone. The past 5 years has been a bit of a rollercoaster for us – we opened in 2012 to a roaring success only to shut down 3 years later due to…I suppose an ethical decision where I didn’t feel comfortable bowing down to corporate greed & bullying. …
Tomorrow marks the launch of two new Vegan cookie flavours & Vegan Ice Cream Sandwiches at Moustache. Next week we’ll have 5 flavours of vegan milkshakes back alongside our Giant Vegan Cookies & Cookie Cakes via our online cookie shop www.moustache.co.nz.
I felt the need to write a follow up article about this issue because something happened that I never expected. I got a private message from the troll saying he was sorry & that he didn’t realise how much his comment would hurt me.
It was so left field for me. Because we went from this:

To more comments from him like this:
So. Last night I was tagged in an instagram post because my face has been featured in an ad that’s been displayed all over online, Britomart, Newmarket, Khyber Pass, Newton and in some of the most high profile spots in Auckland, scratch that, in New Zealand. Period.
One of the comments was this:

Now. Before we go lunge to our P.C horrors, I just want to clarify that I’m not “butthurt” about it (a term I learnt from the interwebz). Hence my reply laughing at the fact. I was not born yesterday, I get it — in fact, I’m used…
We finished our 6 week Cookie Bus Tour travelling all over North Island — hurrah! Well to be honest, you wouldn’t even know it because there’s been nothing from me for a while. No writing, no presence, a distinct lack of social media posts...nothing to signify that a momentous thing had just finished.

On the final days of touring, I woke up on the bus feeling rather unwell. I had pain in my wisdom teeth suddenly shoot up & my gums very quickly within a day became irritated & infected from the evil teeth. My lymph nodes swelled up &…
I was so bloody determined to do this everyday writing thing. But it’s been well over a week since I’ve written & I’m so exhausted I almost don’t feel guilty. Almost. So here I am trying to put kindling under this writing fire again.
We arrived home from Leg #2 (Waikato region) of the Bus Tour the other week. Last year was a very trying year for me — and whilst I am proud of how we went from literally nothing in January to having 2 new stores & one Cookie Bus in that same year on incredibly limited resources…
“Let’s watch Pork Pie! Because that’s a movie about a group of Kiwi’s travelling around New Zealand in a yellow mini…and we are a group of Kiwi’s travelling around New Zealand in a yellow bus called Minnie!”
I exclaimed excitedly to Justin & Lucy. We’re in the Waikato now, for Leg 2 of our NZ Cookie Bus tour. Yesterday we did Te Awamutu, Today we drive to Cambridge & tomorrow, Hamilton. For those that don’t know, our big yellow cookie bus does have a name. I thought about it for weeks before coming up with Minnie Mo. …
